Oracle 10g Support Vector Machines (SVM)
Support Vector Machines (SVM) is a classification
and regression prediction tool. Oracle Database 10g Data mining
uses this machine-learning technique to maximize prediction
accuracy, and therefore builds a strong supporting tool for
bioinformatics. Support Vector Machines (SVM) extends ODM functions
in the following ways:
-
By adding prediction of a numeric target to
the available mining functions.
-
Increasing the ability to make predictions
in domains with hundreds to thousands of predictor columns and
relatively few rows.
-
Simplifying the user input, as the
algorithm determines the complex network architecture options
automatically.
